U.S. President Donald Trump makes a fool of himself at a press conference by mispronouncing Verdi and lying about being “good friends” with Pavarotti.

President Donald Trump was at the White House today for a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni.

“Through the ages, your country has been a beacon of artistic and scientific achievement,” Trump said with the help of a teleprompter.

“From Venice to Florence, from Verdi to Pavarotti — friend of mine. Great friend of mine…”

Pavarotti has been dead for 10 years. And his pronunciation of “Verdi” is… well… just watch the video:
