In a surprise announcement, one of the biggest opera stars in the world, Anna Netrebko, will be making her Canadian debut at Toronto’s Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on April 25, 2017.

Anna Netrebko will join Trio Magnifico, which includes her husband, tenor Yusif Eyazov, and Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky. The trio will sing opera arias, duets, and trios backed by the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra conducted by Italy’s Jader Bignamini.

Tickets will not be cheap and are expected to go for as much as $450 each. They go on sale Thursday, October 20 at 10:00 am (online) and 11:00 (in person) at the COC box office.
