Beethoven lovers can rejoice in obsessions over the Ninth Symphony

Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony has had a magnetic ability to transform people’s lives for nearly two centuries.

American writer Greg Mitchell has chronicled much of this in a new book, Journeys With Beethoven, which comes with its own, new blog here.

The book is co-written by filmmaker Kerry Candaele, who expects to show a finished documentary film on Beethoven’s Ninth later this year. Here is the trailer:
